The German Geophysical Society (DGG e.V.) supports increasement and spreading of geophysical knowledge in research, teaching and applications. Important aims are support of young scientists and the interdisciplinary work as well as public relations concerning geophysics.
The DGG represents all scientific interests of geophysics in both national and international organizations. It is the host organization of the Alfred-Wegener-Stiftung, the head of all societies related to geosciences in Germany.
